Local captains Canadians at Women’s Rugby World Cup

Ask Williams Lake resident Wade Cripps about his daughter Leslie and he’ll tell you he’s proud.

That’s because Leslie, 32, who grew up in Williams Lake, is captaining the fourth-seeded Canadian team at the Women’s Rugby World Cup currently being played in England.

“It’s excellent, and very exciting,” Wade said. “I feel very proud.
