For those Smith bashers out there watch again and you will see him 'break the line' getting Canada momentum going forward into Munro's try. I'm not saying he's Nonu out there but I thought he played fairly well and has been at the very least steady. Look at his tacking stats - pretty solid for a player not known for being too quick. I like Trainor and think he's played very well but think the sample size at international rugby is too small just yet. That being said he's looked good so far.
DTH is one of the most exciting attacking players I've seen in the entire tournament. Absolutely electric in attack but his defense off set piece is poor. Although he makes his share of 'scramble' tackles off breaks, he gets burned quite a bit off that initial phase. If that improves for him we've got one unbelievable player.
Hamilton looks good in the loose stuff - just needs to get those throws down!

Agree that DTH was the man of the match for us. No questions there. When he shifted to the wing he caused some major headaches for the Japanese. I think his defensive capabilities are better suited out there as well. Not saying he's a bad defender, just think he's better suited to the wing.
Connor Trainor needs more time, and I'm sure he'll get it. He has done quite well with the opportunities he's had as an impact sub. Hopefully he will continue to do that when he gets starting opportunities.
