There are not 12 palyers playing in North Wales and I bet the level they play is comparable to BC Premier League.

Harry how many are playing in Wales? They are winning games by 70 points, sounds like a great breeding ground for international players to me.

Nine I think, where did you get the 12 from, just make it up to suit your needs.they were playing Pontypool who are in the Welsh Premiership which is the second level of competion in the country, behind the Magner's league. Not sure it could be described as tier 4. I think Burnaby beat Cowichan 95 to very little recently but that is a good place to breed international players, I suppose.

What you aren't reading about Harry is yes they are playing Pontypool, but the pontypool team is made of of teenagers and academy players!! They aren't even the second team. This is where RC is misleading the public!

The set up is comical at best. $200,000 for 9-12 players in Wales. Where is the value? Are all these players going to the WC? If they are, wouldn't they be better off training with the national coach at the PISE?

Harry no matter how you look at it - it is a pi$$ poor set up.

I think the rugby is good but I do not believe it is good value for money. We are doing them a favour by sending the players over they should be paying for it not us. Treetop have you a link to the game report so I can verify what you say. I doubt it is the full first team but it is representative of them from I can read about it. If we could do it for $50,000 or less it would be money well spent, it takes players out of there comfort zone to a different environment and they get to play as a team. I not sure all these players will be at the World Cup, more of a taxi squad in case of injures and for the next one. I jsut don't want all my rugby Canada fees going to BC, they get enough of them already.

Putting them on a pride team would also take them out of there comfort zone and cost us nothing. The first pride teams played for free no carding.

They should put the Pride team back into Ontario. That's where the real rugby is being played.

The academy approch is better than sending them to Wales but having them play in a domestic competition is not taking them out of there comfort zone in my opinion. The whole rugby atmosphere is different in another country and so is the opposition.

I'll have to agree with Frank on that last post too, except we would need a new name as Pacific pride wouldn't really fit. Maybe womething with Trillium in it.

It's not the name Harry, it's the program. Bring JM back to Ontario.
