Point 8.
These questions I would think would be better addressed by Federation de Rugby du Quebec and Rugby Manitoba. Why not get in touch with them....
FRQ agm is Feb 20th I believe. If you're a member in good standing I'm sure you'll be welcome.
What's the point I might ask of posting these on an internet forum?? Why not contact your provincial federation and speak to the rep who is going to the AGM and ask them to investigate for you. Or better still, go yourself.

IrishLock , the whole point of the forum is to discuss and ask questions. If they make you uncomfortable then don't log on. The title is questions to be asked and they are good ones, putting them out on this forum is a good idea so maybe members from different provincial unions can see what each others concerns are and maybe see if they are mutual.
Here is a question I have for RC-
what are the break even numbers for all of these 'friendraisers' RC hosts at events like Vegas? Do they make money? Does it cover the costs of staff and volunteers flying out to 'host'?
Where is the women's 7s gone? If it was pay to play thus far, now that it is Olympic event it seems bad timing to have no program running, no?Posted 5 months ago # -
No problem posting them here, but if you really feel strongly about these issues do more than that, take action. Too many whine and cry, and not without reason, but fail to take any concret action to change things.

3, 4, 5 & 6 sound like they are closely related to Mooseheads 'save money to mortgage a rugby stadium' idea.
Have you ever run the idea past anyone at RC? Who knows, maybe it's something they may consider, but *just* posting these questions / that idea on a forum won't get far. Like Harry says, sure post them here and people can discuss; should you want the questions actually answered you may need to do something more than sit at a keyboard. Not much more though : picking up the phone and calling your provincial union doesn't take much....

Irishlock, do you have issues re Rugby Canada's running of our game in Canada and if so have you taken to Moses on the Mount? Are you intending to attend the R.C. AGM?
I have preached for over 10 years and begged others to attend and make their concerns heard either from the floor or at one of the many social gatherings.
One of the reasons that the game does so well here is the absolute blind faith we have in those that put themselves forward and adopted as Committee members. [they are no longer Board members]
For example in the past year what has David Loughead been instrumental in achieving on the R.C. Committee or for that matter who knows how many Committee members are elected and how many are appointed for what ever reason. How long do each category enjoy as a serving term and how many terms.
Well we know that Mr.Robertson or is that Robinson does on all of our behalf's. He keeps the wheels of our elite programs turning through the magnificent grounds and facilities at Shawnigan Lake. He also is the source of employment for those family members of the R.C. H.P. staff that are seconded to the West coast.
But really, what real communications do the ordinary, general club member or any of the many levels of club, sub and provincial executives within the system enjoy from our supposed R.C. Committee members.
Well I suppose over the next 8 - 10 years we can log on again and refresh ourselves on what is happening at R.C. AGM and what is as "usual"
To attend is fun and actually you can enjoy a considerable freedom of access to most of the agenda and meetings. I is an eye opener and I certainly encourage the newly 28 - 38 young puppies in the game today to find time and turn up and sign in as an observer. They have in my experience let official and non official attendees to participate in their discussions. A great learning curve if you missed out on or failed your Civics courses at High School.

Lougheed is a Legend of BS and the good old boys. Lougheed has that position so that he can sit around the RC board room and tell tales of when men were men and the great punch up of 91. Do not even compare him to Robertson or is it Robinson, they should never be mentioned in the same breath. Mark Bryant should be on the Rugby Canada board, fck it he should be president.

The punch up was in 95, get your facts straight. Bryant would be great for BC but not the rest of Canada. Oh, I forgot there is no Canada east of the Rockies, at least in rugby. Has Mark ever put himself forward.

Gord,
No I have not attended - was going to last year - but couldn't secure time off from work. What is the location this year? I couldn't find that info on the RC website. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.....
